Spartanburg Christian Church Leadership

Spartanburg Christian Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Brian Richmond

Pastor

Brian was called to serve as Spartanburg Christian Church's Pastor February 1, 2011. Prior to that, he served as Student Pastor of the Centerville Christian Church in Centerville, Indiana.

The attributes that best describe Brian as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership, and strong passion for the church and community. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Spartanburg Christian Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Brian takes worship and preaching very seriously and challenges the SCC Family weekly. With Brian, “what you see is what you get.” Brian loves fishing, hunting, and is a beekeeper when time allows. Brian also enjoys planning and serving on mission trips in the US and the world.

He graduated from Johnson University in 1991 with a major in Bible and Youth Ministry.

Brian has been happily married for 30 years to his wife, Julie. They have three children Rachel, Rebekah, and Luke, one son-in-law Satian, and three granddaughters, Maiya,  Elora, and Selah.
